LCF PROJECTS - (Please Scroll down)

It is unfortunate to report that our project had to be postponed to a future date. The town of Gramalote was swallowed by a mountain flood. We have been in the territory trying to assist as much as we could. We helped organize about 4,000 people in shelters and keep on assisting them and working together with the Colombian government in order to make sure all children are taken care off. We have created educational strategies and are now working in an emergency camp to house more than 3,000 people. The president has expressed that he will rebuild the Town and we are trying to keep the checks and balances to make sure no child gets left behind.

PROJECT: TEDDY BEAR 2009

Project Teddy Bear 2009 for Miami Dade's Juvenile Court

DEADLINE HAS BEEN REACHED ON 9/30/2009

* TOTAL FUNDS COLLECTED : $1,477.30 -- 29.54% Collected from $5,000 Goal -- 400 Teddy Bears Purchased

Thank you all for your generous donations!

FUNDS COLLECTED:

We invite you to listen to the interview by National Public Radio (NPR) of a Judge in the Miami Dade Juvenile Court:

  http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=91252434

Little Children Fund 501(c)3 has found a life changing project close to home and began raising funds to help children by gifting them a Teddy Bear which is given to them  in the Juvenile Justice Center because the parents of the children are found guilty of neglect, harm, ill-treatment, violence, exploitation, abuse and many other reasons that a child should not have to go through.

The Teddy Bears are given to the children during the court session by the judges and also during adoption in the judge’s chambers so they have something to hold on to, a friend; a toy. Most of them have never seen a new toy and many others find comfort in this companion that will be going with them on the long journey to the foster care system or with their new adoptive parents.

So please find it in your heart to help and contribute with what you can, and help us change the life of a child by showing them we do care.

We purchase a unique set of Teddy Bears with your contribution from a Teddy Bear wholesaler, that way they all look the same.
